Prayers Are Being Answered
As of lately, I have been wondering what the next few months have in store for me and at times, it has gotten a little frustrating. In these past few days/months, I swear my prayers are being answered. The funny thing about that is is that I actually have not been saying my prayers as much as I use to but it seems like Heavenly Father is listening to my thoughts and what is on my mind all the time. One of the things that has been on my mind is what am I going to do next semester about school. After going to a fireside with Elder Richard G. Scott being the special speaker, it hit me that I should try to re-apply to the DATC's Nursing program and if I don't get in, I should go to Steven Henager's college. If I do get in, then I will just work until August when school starts. If I don't, then I only lost 3-6 months of schooling. So my education question was answered.
Well the next thing that has been on my mind is money. How am I going to work next semester if I do get in the program? I didn't really want to get another job to pay bills, save money for Germany and school and such. But if I had to, I would try. Today my boss calls me and asks me if I wanted one of two shifts that were available and I was asked first because I have been waiting to get the extra hours. I said yes I wanted this certain shift and if another staff didn't want the other one, then I would take it. My boss calls me back and said that I could have both shifts! Now I am back at full-time hours and by the time Germany comes around, I will have my benefits and get paid while I am on vacation in Europe! So there was another answer! I don't have to find another job. I mean I could if I wanted to but I don't really.
The third thing that has been on my mind is if I wanted to stay in my singles ward that I am in now or if I should change. On sunday when I was talking to my mom, I realized the true reason of why I wanted to change. It is because of my attitude towards the ward. My ward that I am in now has changed SO much since I joined it 2 years ago for the better. There are a lot of people that I don't even know that I should probably get to know. So the answer to this prayer is that I should stay in this ward because what is the point of going to a new one and meeting new people when I don't even now the new people in my ward right now (half or 2/3 of it is all new)? That just doesn't make sense.
Since now I have all these prayers answered, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I feel so much better and happy about where my life is going. I feel more confident in myself and it also reassures me that Heavenly Father does listen to our prayers even when we keep them to ourselves. I am grateful for him and for all the people that are in my life to help me realize all these wonderful things that are happening around me. So far it has been a great holiday season and I hope for more of it come my way throughout the rest of the year!

...SEATTLE...
The day of the game (November 22, 2009) we brought clothes with us to go to a singles ward in the city. We get there and there was nobody there! We figured they probably had stake conference and we went to the temple instead. The Seattle, Washington temple is gorgeous! I loved how you just come right off the freeway as you bend the exit ramp and it is just right there for you to see. There happened to be an LDS church right next to it and that is where we changed into our normal clothes. I think it would have been a sight to see with two women walking in the church dressed in church clothes and then walking out with their ReAL gear on. Then we went to the Space Needle and went to the top of it to look out and see the city. It was pretty neat. You could see Qwest Stadium for up there! That is where the game was played at. It was also fun to see all these ReAL fans there and hardly any LA fans. I think that just shows which team has true fans. Ha Ha.
That video features the highlights of the game and I hope you got a glimpse of how much fun it was to watch and why it was so worth going for. It was a pretty intense game and I enjoyed every minute of it! I want to thank Amber and Wes for letting Trina and I stay over for the weekend. I am sorry that it was such a quick trip and that we didn't get to spend a lot of time together. Like I have said a few times before (to them), I will plan another trip to come up and spend more time with you! Again thank you so so much!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!
On Sunday, Real Salt Lake won it's first MLS Cup Championship! I was able to drive up to Seattle to witness such an event and every penny spent was definitely well worth it.
We once again had to play 120 minutes and do a shoot-out and the result is we came out on top! We entered the playoffs as the underdogs and it has been so fun to watch RSL play to their fullest and prove everyone wrong that they are as much deserving as any other team. I think my favorite moments were Robbie Findley (forward) making that goal in the 64th minute to tie the game, Nick Rimando (goalkeeper) saving two shots in the shoot-out, Landon Donovan totally missing his shot, Chris Wingert making his goal during the shoot-out (I was a little nervous since he is a defender), Robbie Russell making his goal (that is him above)which leads to the celebration at Qwest Stadium for winning the game!
It has been a great season and I cannot believe that it is over. I feels like last week it just started but we started great in the preseason winning a cup and we are ending just as great with the biggest cup in American soccer. Go RSL!

New Moon: The Movie
I just want to hurry and write my thoughts on the newest Twilight movie. I won't give anything away so don't worry. All I can say that it was absolutely AMAZING!!! It most definitely followed the book through and through. Of course there were some changes but none that really mesed up the flow of movie/book. I was very impressed. The graphics were awesome. The acting a SO much better. The direction was great. I just loved it. This is seriously a movie that I can watch over and over again and never get sick of it. I also want to give a shout out to Chris Weitz. He is the director and did a fabulous job. I would not mind having him be the director for the fourth movie. Hopefully Breaking Dawn will get the green-light and can be filmed next September. That would be fabulous. So out of 5 starts on this show, I give it 5 and I strongly recommend everyone to see it! Loves!

Real Quick...
I thought I would just hurry and write down on my lovely blog that Real Salt Lake is going to the MLS Finals! This is the first time in Real franchise history that they made it to the finals but in order to do that, they needed to win a conference cup!. It was lucky enough for them to even make it into the playoffs this season as the 8th seed. They were placed in the Eastern conference bracket. They played Columbus (who were the champions last year) first at Rio Tinto with us winning 1-0 and then us going to Columbus and beating them there 3-2 and overall 4-2 because of aggregate goals. Then off to play Chicago. We played the full 90 minutes and then two 15 minute halves. If there is no score after that, then it goes to a shoot-out until we have a winner. That is exactly what happened. Like I said before, they played 120 minutes and went into a shootout and Real won 5-4! I am so proud of RSL for making the most of this season. They had a strong perfomance the first 1/3 of the season but then struggled in the second 1/3 with injuries, players being called up to play for their respective countries because of the Gold Cup going on, and yellow card accumulation and red cards. The last 1/3 was incredible. We needed a lot of help to get into the playoffs from other teams to lose or beat other teams and we needed to win games. We did that and that is how we made it into the playoffs and now conference champions! The final game is next sunday in Seattle...that's right Seattle and I am headed up north...So Jake & Sara and Amber & Wes, hopefully I will see you! I am thinking of flying stand-by so my friend and I may need a place to stay! That would be ever-so loverly! Go RSL!!!

Application Update
Two weeks ago was a pretty crappy week for me. What started it all was Noah having seizures and staying in the hospital for a few days. Then Real tied their exhibition game and I blame it on the second half team...there was not much effort in that part of the game. Then at work...it was just bad and not something I can write down. Well that monday of that crappy week, I get an email from Dixie State College letting me know my results on my application. It turns out that I didn't get into the Nursing program at DSC. I was actually not surprised. I kind of already knew that I wasn't going to get in but wasn't going to get my hopes up at the same time. Now I am looking into Steven Henager's or Ameritech colleges or I may take a risk and apply again for the DATC's program and hoping to get in the fall. Steven Henager's and Ameritech always have programs starting so I would only miss out on a couple of months if I didn't get in the DATC's again. So far that is my plan and it may change. I just need to be patient and do the things that I am suppose to be doing and I will get in somewhere. There were at least 3 things that did happen that week that were wonderful....One, I got a pretty good score on my Physiology test. That was a shocker because I hardly studied for it. Two, Noah came home from the hospital and the doctor's are 98% sure it was a viral infection. Finally, I got a very much needed movie night with my friends where we watched Monsters vs. Aliens and Hocus Pocus (CLASSIC!!!). Since then, my weeks have been much better!
